WIG30 index has been calculated since September 23, 2013 based on the value of portfolio of 30 major and most liquid companies on the WSE Main List. The base value of WIG30 index was set at 28 December 2012 at the level of 2582.98 points. It is a price index and thus when it is calculated it accounts only for prices of underlying shares whereas dividend income is excluded. The WIG30 index may not include more than 7 companies from a single exchange sector and larges companies' weight in the index is limited to 10%.
